We have begun to compile database information for flea collections at our institution, with the long term goal of linking into the databases in other institutions or visiting other institutions to catalogue their collections. Our database consists of locality and host data and eventually will be linked to the photo album for each species and the taxonomic keys. We hope to eventually provide links to the extensive flea database which has been compiled by Professor Sergei Medvedev (renowned Russian flea systematist) so that the information will be more accessible to the scientific community
